2024 Sunflower Award Recipient
Jennifer Neuman
Meet Jennifer Neuman, a dedicated advocate for community outreach, who has found her true calling in supporting seniors and their families. With a heart full of compassion and a spirit fueled by empathy, Jennifer has made it her mission to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need around her.
From a young age, Jennifer's passion for helping others was evident. Whether volunteering at local shelters or organizing charity events, she has always had a knack for bringing people together for a good cause.
Born and raised in Ohio, Jennifer’s journey began as a dedicated case manager for children and families, a role she cherished for 24 fulfilling years. However, life took a turn when she became the primary caregiver for her beloved mother. She witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by her mom as she navigated the complexities of aging, illness and the healthcare system. Caring for her mom ignited a passion for supporting seniors and their families.
After moving to Florida, Jennifer found her calling as a Community Outreach Liaison at Tidewell Hospice. She approached her role with a heart full of empathy and a passion to raise awareness about healthcare options and community resources. In October 2023, Jennifer changed course, and accepted a position in senior living with The Meridian at Punta Gorda Isles. Whether it’s finding the perfect community, or understanding healthcare options, Jennifer is there every step of the way, ensuring seniors find comfort and peace in their next chapter of life.
Her commitment to the well-being of seniors extends beyond the professional realm, as Jennifer actively seeks out opportunities to give back to her community. She currently serves on the Board for Meals on Wheels, the Douglas T. Jacobson Veteran’s Home Residents Fund and is a member of the Leadership Council for Ageless United.
When she is not working, Jennifer loves spending time with family, going to the beach, boating and enjoying the Florida lifestyle.
